Just because something is posted on the internet does NOT mean it is true. And, please, I do not support Chatham Park and I do not oppose Chatham Park. I do not know enough to take an INTELLIGENT position one way or the other.
I checked out the PittsboroMatters website. (Which is probably more than many of the “signers” of the rumored petition did.) Do you small number of people who signed the petition know you support forcing the developers to do things you are not forced to do?
How would you, as a homeowner, like it if you were forced by your neighbors to rewire your house before you could sell it? Or install different, “green” insulation and windows before you could sell it? Or as a condition to KEEP your house? How would YOU like to be forced to become LEEDS certified?
How would YOU like it to be forced to reduce your “carbon footprint” to keep your house? How would YOU like it to be forced to give room in YOUR house to a homeless person?
MANY of you would not have been able to buy your present home if LEEDS certification was required. Reid Guthrie comparing Chatham Park to rapists? REALLY? Does that promote intelligent discussion? Non sequiturs strung together do not make intelligent discussions either. They are not clever. They make us question your common sense.
LEEDS certification is a scam and a hoax.

The film “Gasland” spreads hoaxes to promote an agenda..
Man-made global warming is a hoax.
Polar bears dying due to lack of polar ice is a hoax.
There is no Nigerian prince who needs you to cash a check.
Anti-fracking hysteria is based on hoaxes.
These hoaxers created PittsboroMatters. They wrap themselves in a green-hooded cloak of “feel-goodisms and pretend they are protecting the earth. They perpetuate hoaxes while whipping up a mob to stop law-abiding property owners exercising THEIR rights. Fortunately, these hoaxers are a tiny, but LOUD mob. Mobs are always dangerous.
Attacking me won’t do you any good either. I don’t matter. Believe me, I am not important enough. I thought you should know how you show up in the REAL WORLD instead of the fantasy world you live in. You need to know.
Somebody should have told you long ago.
