Subject: Poor Quality Bosch Dishwasher, known mechanical defects and still selling them at Lowes Home Improvement

I have a new house all new appliances, windows and cabinets. Most of which came from Lowe’s in Pitsboro NC. Sad part is I spent a good amount of money on the appliances assuming I would get support and a quality product.

Well after 6 months use the dishwasher started smelling worse then a garbage can. I followed directions to use white vinegar and then baking soda and wash on sanitize, worked for the day then the smell  came back again.

Now, this is in the kitchen where we all sit to eat and cook mind you, so I tried hard to get help.

When calling Lowe’s and Bosch after 4 months of trying to get someone at Lowe’s to help me,  I had to call the corporate office to get attention. By  that time  it was 11 months I had the unit. Lowes got Bosch to get A&E to come and do a free service. They came out to get proof that the unit had a bad odor, at that time I found out it was inherent in the design and it was in operable.  I have been waiting to hear form Bosch and Lowes and now it is at the 13 months and 1 month past the 1 year consumer warrantee. So I called and found out Lowes or someone from Bosch fraudulently went into my account and “wrote” I refused service, hence they were not covering the Dishwasher. Which as you can see was not true. I have the service receipt to prove it. I called and told Lowes I have the receipt, the Lowes supervisor said, well maybe someone from Bosch said this, or, I need to get A&E to go back to Bosch and then restate what they said to me and show them the receipt.

Yup Lowes is washing their hands of this now. I will do all this and will keep persevering, but know I am not going back to Lowes for anything expensive again.

So in Summary,

Per their services company A&E of Raleigh this is a known mechanical quality issue. And both Lowes and Bosch are selling it and taking good money from the consumer.

Now that is not all of it, Albeit the service provider told me it is inherent in the polypropylene (plastic) liner and the design of the liner (voids where the liner snaps down on the body of the dishwasher) collects food and bacteria, Bosch and Lowes refused to replace or even credit me for what I spent on the unit.  When I told Lowes it was a known issue and you still are selling this to the consumer Lowes supervisor told me he would write a complaint and put it in his system. I asked him, since someone went into my account and fraudulently stated I refused service, (when I did not refuse it, A&E said there they could do nothing and saw this before) I wanted proof or a copy of the complaint, He told me they do not do that but I can call to see it on my record by my phone number.

Here I am at holidays around the corner and a new Bosch Dishwasher that smells worse then the local waste collection truck. What is worse Lowes and Bosch keep selling this known defective design to consumers.

Hence, buyer beware
