Siler City is hosting its 3rd Friday Art Walk on October 18th from 6-9pm.
We will have food from Loma Bonita and Slammin’ Fish, beer from Bear Creek Brews, and music by the Chatham Middle School Band and local favorites, Zambamboogee.  Chatham Middle will perform at 6pm with Zambamboogee taking the stage around 7pm.  The PAF Gallery at the NC Arts Incubator will have the opening reception for its show featuring artists that will be on this year’s studio tour.

Come by and bring the kids starting at 4pm to participate in the Raku firing.  This is a process for firing pottery that involves heating the pieces in a gas kiln and then transferring them to paper-lined metal cans to cool.  For just $10, you can purchase a hand-made piece of pottery and glaze it yourself.  Once you’re finished glazing, we will fire the pottery and let you take it home with you.  Make it out early to get your choice of the pottery pieces.  We will start firing at 4pm and the last batch will be loaded at 8pm.  This is a great way for kids to learn a little bit about pottery and get a beautiful work of art that they had a hand in creating.

It promises to be a lively evening and we hope everyone will plan to come out and see how much fun you can have in downtown Siler City.
