Subject: System Upgrade May Disrupt Library Operations

All three branches of Chatham County Public Libraries will undergo an automation system upgrade on Thursday, October 3.

The libraries will be open during their normal operating hours, but the automation system will be offline. This may have an impact on catalog searching and the ability to request or renew materials. Checkouts will be limited to 3 items per library card because librarians will be entering information manually.

It will not be possible to check out materials without a library card. The upgrade is expected to be completed in one day and systems should return to normal by Friday.
