Chatham Chatlist #4681Rush or not the public has not been asked to participate except they voted in the present legislators.

I continually get educated on this issue and Mr. G. has most certainly helped.

From talking to a good friend that has retired from DOT and worked for NC DNR I am beginning to understand what is going on.  There was a mistake made in the original regs that concern the buffer to Jordan as passed it was 50 ft although the Corp of Engineers who “operate†Jordan have a 75’ buffer which is in conflict with the NC reg.  As to what this means, I still need more info.

I guess we all were asleep (including our liberal state government) when a conservative national agenda had the worst job creation record in modern times, started two unnecessary wars, tried to turn  back environmental regs., tanked the economy, increased our deficit when it was balanced, and basically ignored job creation in the name of social issues so now that we when we have a empathetic legislature in NC we can continue these policies (or turn back the clock) in the hope that we will create jobs.  If there was 30 years of damage, the worse damage for us took place recently starting in 2000.  We were all asleep at the wheel but you can’t blame it on liberals unless they didn’t vote,  The mistakes in the past 30 yrs we made are minor compared to what happened in the last 10 yrs.

We could all use some progressive spirit.  Yes that means change.  Change the mistakes we have made but that does not mean turn back the times as into relax or do away with environmental
