Subject: More trouble for Pittsboro mayor & NCDP Chairman Randy Voller.

Pittsboro mayor Randy Voller continues to experience some set backs as NC Democratic Party Chairman.

The Rutherford County Democratic Party’s Executive Committee on Thursday passed a resolution calling on Voller to resign because of the “irresponsible and controversial decisions lost the confidence of Democratic voters, elected officials, and longtime financial supporters.”

The statement went straight to the heart of concerns surrounding Voller – many regarding his inability to raise funds and the unwillingness of major donors to give money to the NC Democratic Party while Voller is the
Chairman.

Earlier in the week, Nina Szlosberg-Landis, the party’s vice chair resigned citing her inability to work with Voller.

Szlosberg-Landis went so far as to call into question what she called Voller’s transparency, when it comes to handling party money.

It is on social networking that Randy Voller’s allies have often gone hammer and tongs in order to smear their critics. Early in the week CCD ran the story regarding the employment complaint by former Finance Director
Ellen Stankiewicz. (She filed the complaint accusing Voller and his allies of harassing, bullying and physically intimidating her. Two witnesses signed her statement.) One of Voller’s supporters began making accusations claiming Stakiewicz is a “drunk” who was liquored up on the job which led to her dismissal.

Hit and run online character assassinations have been the Voller camp’s main line of defense and have included fake twitter accounts used to hammer critics, cast aspersions, and harass those who have spoken out against Chairman Voller.

For their part the Voller camp is now attempting to sell the narrative that those who oppose Voller are not “Progressives”. They are attempting to paint Voller as a mighty progressive warrior standing up against the evil corporate slime. Good luck with that one.
