Jordan Lake is one of the Triangle’s largest open green spaces, with 13,900 acres of lake and 32,868 acres that are managed for recreation and wildlife. Learn about the history of the dam’s creation and how the dam works. Our guide will be Jon Paull with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Families with children are welcome! Now in its fourth year, Exploring Nature in Chatham series is offered by Chatham Conservation Partnership (CCP) with Central Carolina Community College (CCCC) to promote conservation of Chatham’s natural resources and the college’s Ecotourism program. Trips are open to the general public. All events are free unless otherwise noted.
