If you don’t have the courage of your convictions sufficient to stand behind your words – unhidden by pseudonym – then I can only assume that you aren’t saying anything worth listening to, anyway. Especially if you posted insults and incivility.

Any supposed distinction between anonymity and pseudonymity is specious at best and smacks of rationalization designed to fend off the truth about posting anonymously. And any attempt to tie anonymous posting of insults on a local chat list with folks speaking truth to power historically is simply fatuous and self serving. Yep, you have the right to say what you want, within certain legally recognized limits. Go too far and your screen name won’t save you.

Don’t like what I have to say? Well, if you post anonymously, who cares?
