The “Chapel Ridge Champions”, a local grass-roots organization established to generate funds for cancer research and prevention, will host its annual Charity Golf Tournament and Auction for the benefit of the American Cancer Society.  The tournament will be held at 12:00 Noon on Friday, April 19, 2013 at the Chapel Ridge Golf Course in Pittsboro, NC.  The deadline for registration and payment is April 10.

Tournament fees of $90 for an individual and $350 for a foursome include: 18 holes of golf, cart, practice balls, prizes, and an All American Buffet Dinner.  The auction will begin immediately following the tournament and will boast something for everyone.

So you’re not really a golfer, but you want to do something to support the fight against cancer?  Bring the family out for the All-American Buffet Dinner and stay for the auction.  Or, consider sponsoring a hole at the tournament in honor of a friend or family member who was touched by cancer.  We will mark the hole with a sign at the tournament and display that sign at the Pittsboro Relay for Life.  You can also purchase luminaria to honor a loved one who is struggling against cancer, or to remember one who has gone before.  All luminaria will be beautifully displayed in a moving ceremony during the Relay for Life.

For more information on how you can join in the effort, contact Phil Sutphin at or call him at (919) 542-1932.
