Thank you Maclyn Humphrey for hanging onto your family’s old home and land.
I love, when I travel the highways and roadways of our state and others to see the old homes that once stood majestic in their time against the steel grey or multi-colored skies.
I think of who lived in those homes and what their life stories are. Sometimes even feeling the very presence of the families that once lived in these homes. To me, there is a bitter-sweetness to seeing these old homes which remind us of our past and of simpler but harsher times.
Thank you Ms Humphrey for preserving the land for as long as you can to prevent the encroachment or influx of today’s modern suburbia with its sameness, blahness, and noisiness. Thanks to all of you who keep your land.
