I am a volunteer with the VITA program (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) which is free, sponsored by the IRS, Chatham County Council on Aging…our parent org. is Orange County RSVP.
We offer free income tax assistance for seniors and others with low to moderate incomes. Appointments are available Feb. 6 through April 13, 2013. Locations are in Pittsboro Senior Center, Siler City Senior Center and two Sat. at the Hispanic Center in Siler City.
IRS-certified volunteers prepare Federal and State income tax forms…includes electronic filing.
