Founder’s Series Talk by Tom Krenitsky, sponsored by the Woods Charter School Foundation

Tom Krenitsky is a biochemist (Ph.D. Cornell University, 1963) and has spent the bulk of his professional career in pharmaceutical research. When he moved to North Carolina in 1970 he became interested in the great variety of plants that could be grown in the Piedmont region of North Carolina.

Mr. Krenitsky describes his experiences gardening in red clay at the same location in the Piedmont region of North Carolina over the past forty years. The book emphasizes his successes and failures with shrubs, trees and perennials. Details are included about which plants are deer and drought resistant.
