I have purchased appliances (stoves, dishwashers, washers and dryers from Lowes for twenty plus years and have never had any problems with the appliances. ) However, there is nothing, imo, better than a Kenmore refrigerator so Sears gets my money for refrigerators and that is due to my own bias.
I usually stay away from locally-owned stores because they are much more pricier and the customer service from such stores has not been better than my experiences with Lowes. I find the Pittsboro Lowes to have outstanding customer service. I am sorry to hear that some have not had the experiences I have had. I would suspect that at some point and time someone is not going to be happy no matter what the store is.
