Subject: Don’t miss out! NC STEP Half Time and Opportunity Chatham
Siler City’s North Carolina Small Town Economic Prosperity (STEP) Leadership Team is hosting the NC STEP HALF TIME event Thursday, October 18, 2012 from 5 – 7 p.m. at the Central Carolina Business Campus in Siler City.
The town celebrated its STEP designation in August 2010 with a Kick Off event. The Half Time event will share the progress of more than a dozen projects, including creating a downtown park, a walking trail along the Rocky River, new wayfinding signage, improving building facades, improving building energy efficiency, and more!
On Friday, October 19, join the Chatham Economic Development Corporation for its annual OPPORTUNITY CHATHAM meeting. Networking, coffee and food begins at 9:30 a.m. with a program from 10:00 – 11:30 a.m. Speakers include Rick Guirlinger of the Triangle Community Foundation, Jason Gray of the NC Rural Center, and Dan Gerlach from the Golden LEAF Foundation. Tickets are $15 per person.
