Please come join us at one of Fall’s fun happenings through ChathamArts.

Improv For All – we are starting a new improv class in October! Have you ever wanted to break out of a rut? Explore your fun, crazy cool side? Laugh with great friends? The Improv may be for you. Three- and six-week sessions are starting October 18th. Classes are Thursday evenings at Briar Chapel clubhouse at 7pm. Please join us!

Sustainable Cinema – Don’t miss “Hell and Back Again” at the Fearrington Barn, October 24th at 7pm. 2012 Academy Award Nominee “Best Documentary Feature”• Winner- Grand Jury Prize  2011 Sundance Film Festival. (Documentary/ 88 min.)  A master filmmaker and photographer, Danfung Dennis follows 25-year-old Marine Sgt. Nathan Harris on his most difficult mission: coming home after being seriously wounded in Afghanistan. Embedded with Harris’s unit during their assault on a Taliban stronghold, Dennis brilliantly toggles between the intense experience of war, stunningly photographed by the director himself, and the challenges of re-adjusting to civilian life in small town North Carolina. Hell and Back Again brings the war home in ways that make gun-toting soldiering look like a day at the beach compared with the physical and psychic scars that manifest upon returning home. We’ll have a special post-screening discussion with psychological specialist Dr. Tom Harbin.

Save the Date for the 41st Annual Bluegrass Experience Concert. Join Tommy Edwards and friends for a Sunday afternoon concert experience at the Fearrington Barn at 4pm. This promises to be a foot-stomping great time with good friends and great music. Online advanced tickets will be available soon. We hope to see you there!
