Subject: Backflow Preventer Inspections
I’d like to thank Karen for pointing out the Chatham County and State mandate for Backflow Prevention devices and the need for yearly certification that they operate correctly.
North Carolina has the unfortunate distinction of having some of the Country’s worst backflow cross-connection contamination happenings. If your business has a backflow preventer, if your landscape irrigation system has a backflow preventer, if your fire prevention system has a backflow preventer, if your house has a backflow preventer, you need to have these devices tested and certified yearly to make sure they are doing what they are intended to do, safeguard the public drinking water.
I am a local certified inspection and repair technician with over 38 years of experience with backflow preventers. If you have an Atmospheric Vacuum Breaker (AVB)–very old and very limited in approved usage, a Double Check Valve (DCV)–again limited in approved usage, or a Pressure Vacuum Breaker (PVB), I can check your device and, if needed, repair with approved factory parts. From 3/4 inch through 12 inch, I can service your needs. Being local, I am available 24/7 and can schedule the inspection when you will be disturbed the least. Standard certification takes about a half hour, repairs depend upon severity and size. My rates are very competitive . I am licensed and insured. I serve all of Chatham, Moore, Lee, and Randolph Counties.
Please feel free to contact me regarding certification of your backflow device.
