Esta,
I’m sorry to hear about your lose.
Bynum Mill Village was also robbed. We had a night visitor on early Wednesday morning May 9th between 1:30-3 am. This person went into cars and looked for things to take.
My daughters backpack from school was taken off her back seat after the back window was broken, right in our front yard. It had her school computer, graphing calculator, books, dance clothing, jackets- we will need to cover school owned items before she can graduate. All while we were sleeping with screens windows and screen doors open.
Folks have told me don’t lock your car and your window won’t get broken, but if her car wasn’t locked, the school’s computer insurance wouldn’t have covered all but the deductible.
My partners massage chair was taken off our front porch. Neighbors had things taken also. Just about everyone had their glove boxes and cars gone through.
One of our neighbors saw him at her car around 2:30-3 am and screamed and called police. He didn’t get caught.
Now I’m locking everything. And I too am suspicious of folks I don’t know driving around my neighborhood.
It’s weird to feel this way when I have such a wonderful neighborhood, and great neighbors.
Diane
