Subject: Upcoming “Building Brains” Live Auction and Golf Tournament at the Siler City Country Club
We are quickly approaching our event date of April 27th to host our Live Auction and Golf Tournament to support the EC program at the Virginia Cross Elementary school. More specifically it will be to put playground equipment in for 5 classes that will access that playground.
What is so important about playground equipment? Well, to children with many different kinds of challenges this equipment gives them an oppurtunity to build fine and gross motor skills as well as build healthy neurpathways in the brain. Hence why we have entitled this the “Building Brains” golf tourament. This equipment is the equivalent of
textbooks and pens for typical kids. It also helps them get sensory needs met in healthy ways.
Virginia Cross is a school where the population struggles with poverty. This is an opportunity to do something that will not just help a child once but will give the gift of learning for many generations to come!!
We have 8 holes already spoken for but have ten left at $100 a hole. We also are building teams for the event and have not met our limit. It is $65 per individual and that includes your cart, greens fees and buffer dinner after. There will be prizes at the part three’s, and for the winner at the end of the event. We will have an auction and raffle following the event with great items to bid on and win!!
Alll checks are made payable to Virginia Cross/ PTA and are tax deductible. Where can you advertise and write it off???
