The Chatham County Local Interagency Coordinating Council (LICC) consists of members of many Chatham County organizations that serve families and children birth through age five. The LICC is a collaborative partnership among parents, caregivers, as well as public and private agencies to promote an effective Early Intervention and education system for young children in Chatham County.

This year, the LICC has decided to host an Early Years Fair on May 19, 2012 at the Silk Hope Farm Heritage Park, 4221 Silk Hope Rd., Siler City, NC 27344 from 10:00am – 2:00pm. This fair is an opportunity to have fun and educate families of children birth through eight years old as to what exists in our county for education, support, therapeutic services, etc. We will offer space for booth set up for for-profit as well as non-profit businesses. Examples of organizations that will be supportingthis are Chatham County Schools, Project Proud Families, the Chatham County Partnership for Children, Childcare Networks, the Durham Children’s Developmental Services Agency (CDSA), the LICC, KidSCope, Chatham Child Development Center (CCDC), as well as local food and entertainment.

There is still much education needed to help families get the best quality of life for their children. We invite you to support our efforts by renting a space on May 19, 2012, and/or providing a cash or in-kind donation for our Early Years Fair. Vendors and sponsors are needed and tiered levels of giving are available. All contributors will be recognized in our fair materials and all press releases. This is a charitable event, and we hope that you will help us help our children and their families.
