Free Legal Aid at Senior Center

Do you need assistance obtaining legal aid? Do you need a health care power of attorney, help preparing a will, etc.? The county’s next free legal aid help session will be on April 5th at 10 a.m. at the Eastern Chatham Senior Center in Pittsboro. Applicants may attend free of charge, but must meet Legal Service Corporation (LSC) eligibility guidelines in order to qualify for free legal services. Services are presented by the Pittsboro Office of Legal Aid of North Carolina, INC. Legal Aid of North Carolina (LANC) is a statewide, nonprofit 501(c)3 law firm that provides free legal services in civil matters to low-income people in order to ensure equal access to justice and to remove legal barriers to economic opportunity.
