Subject: The Grinch who stole catalytic convertors
I wrote a long post but it seamed I was rambling so I started clipping off to leave what was most important . There is a point here and I hope you find it in my rambling .
I have a small area out of sight from the road I keep cars till we can figure out how to fix them . Many of these belong to people struggling to find money just to survive who cant pay a regular repair shop to fix their car .
We had a young lady bring her boyfriend over to pull her car out . She has had lots of problems and finally found money to get the car tagged and buy some parts so it can pass inspection again . They discovered someone cut the catalytic converter off it . We called it in and while looking at that car discovered that every car stored had its converter clipped off . The bandits did over $5000 damage to the vehicles and took a number of other things .
One vehicle belongs to a young girl who has struggled to buy parts just to get her car going to have a way to and from work . One belongs to a couple with a husband with bad back and a wife who needs both knees replaced with a ton of doctor bills . One belongs to one of the shop angels who lost his job when Townsend’s folded .There are several more and each these are not just nameless victims but my friends and others who desperately need help . I had a very volatile temperamental moment when the scope of the crime was clear .
We all had a discussion and narrowed the time frame down to a two day period when I was taking mom back and forth to the doctor when no one was here . We are 99% positive we know who and I’m leaving the rest up to Chatham County’s finest .
There was some highly emotional moments and several wanted to go find this Grinch and stomp the ever loving crap out of him .. All this negative energy train wrecked my determination to stay positive through the Holidays . I have been through enough in the last month and this was the straw that broke the camels back .
I am not a business , I don’t have insurance to pay for all this . I help people the best I can and this was a major hit in the crotch . I couldn’t sleep last night and I found myself getting depressed , mad, and just wrong at the world . I got up sometime last night and made my way to the fridge . I stood there looking for something cold to drink and heard mamas radio playing Christmas music .
I think my mind just stopped.
It stopped to think and I realized this was not the time of year to have hate , anger and desperation or depression . I put myself to bed and said a little prayer , gave this mess to god and fell fast asleep . I got up with some energy and my back in a twisted painful state but rested . I have my coffee and I have started the process of calling all the shops with angels that have helped before to locate replacement converters . I have found two so far and I have many more to find . I’m not letting this ruin the holidays because I remembered the reason for this season . I am slow , but I fix things , its what I do just to make people smile .
I cant fix everything but god can .
