The same thing happened to me 11 years ago at the New Hope Commons Wal-Mart. I had just moved to Chapel Hill from VA, and none of my information was current. A very kind and honest employee noticed my purse in the cart and took it to the Customer Services desk. I offered him all the cash that I had as a reward, but he refused to take it. Like you, I was delighted and “heartwarmed” by this act of human decency.
