Subject: Pittsboro Town Candidate Forum, Oct. 11

Attention Pittsboro town voters:

Did you know that 4 out of 6 seats for Pittsboro government are up for grabs this Fall? Would you like to know more about who could be in charge of Pittsboro’s future? And, do you have questions you want to ask them in person?

If so, please come to the Town Candidate Forum held in the Holmes Room at the Chatham County Library, on October 11 from 7-9 p.m. It will be co-sponsored by the League of Women Voters and the Pittsboro Business Association, which are both non-partisan organizations. We want people with all sorts of opinions showing up to ask questions!

Another thing we want Pittsboro voters to keep in mind: lots of attention often gets paid to the mayor’s race, but the Town Board is also *very* important, especially since the mayor votes at town meetings only in event of a tie. The town board candidates are people that are very valuable to familiarize yourself with. Three out of 5 of Town Board seats will be up for election, which potentially means a lot of change for the direction of Pittsboro’s government. We want everyone to be informed as to where each candidate envisions that direction heading.

Hope to see you there.

Best,
Samantha Birchard
President, Pittsboro Business Association
