The Siler City Merchants Association is once again sponsoring the Halloween Hoopla in downtown Siler City.  We are planning lots of exciting activities including a costume contest, games, trick or treating and more.  We need your help to make this event a success again this year.  Last year we had a crowd of over 400 and are expecting an even larger crowd and event this year.

The Siler City Merchants Association will close N. Chatham Avenue and 2nd St. on Saturday October 29th from 11 – 4 and we invite you, businesses, services. artists, crafters or organizations to be a vendor.  You may sell items, give out information or promote your program, product or organization.  Booth space will be 10 ft. frontage by 10 ft. deep.  Applications should be received no later than the 21st.,  after which there will be an additional 10 charge.  All Siler City Merchants Association member will have these fees waived.  To keep in in line with the theme of the event, we ask that all vendors give out candy or some type of prize items so the kids can “trick or treat”.

We encourage everyone to get into the Halloween spirit – decorate, dress up, etc. but most of all have fun.

We will also be holding a costume contest on the Rotary Stage if you are interested in sponsoring a winner prize.  We will have (3) 15.00 prizes and (3) 10.00 prizes.

WNCA will be doing a live broadcast during the event.  If you would be interesetd in sponsoring the broadcast it will be in the way of 30 second mentions the week before and during the event broadcast.  The cost is only 55.00.  If you are interested, please email Rene Kennedy at or call 742-2135.
