I went to the new Greek Kouzina on Tuesday evening to check it out on their opening day. On the way into the restaurant, I passed some people coming out. I asked them if the food was good, and they gave me a very positive response.

When I entered, I was greeted warmly and shown around the nicely decorated restaurant. I placed my order to go, and it was ready in just a few minutes. The owner is the same one who owns the Greek Fiesta restaurants in the Raleigh and Cary area, so they know how to cook and serve customers well. I have frequented the Greek Fiesta in Cary, and I have always been pleased.

My husband and I really enjoyed the two vegetarian platters that I took home, including the warm pita bread wrapped in foil and the delicious bakalava. The ample meals were $8.99 each. What a deal! I will frequent the Greek Kouzina here in Pittsboro as a nice change. Good food, good service, and the cooks in the back were smiling while they worked!

I have also heard from several people that the New Japan restaurant is very good, so I’m looking forward to trying it as well once the crowds die down a bit.
