Subject: Why did SoS leave the Old Ford Lot?

Good day all!

Let me clear up some rumors as to why we left the Old Pittsboro Ford lot.

I tried to get a lease of our own because we were only month-to-month under a sublease. Having a lease would allow me to expand. For example, add seating and a few other ideas I had. The things I wanted to do required county and/or town approval and the form(s) also required a signature from the property owner (or agent). We were also told numerous times by Noel that we needed to find another spot because the place had interest, but nothing panned out. For over 6 months and since SoS started, I had contacted dozens of property owners in and around the Pittsboro area about leasing a location. The majority of the requests received no response, many were denials, and various other reasons for the rest. We were even offered the Cole Park Plaza location and after a few weeks, he told us he offered it to someone else. There is more to this story, but I’ll just leave it simple.

We decided it was time to make the business truly mobile as it was originally intended and we promised our faithful customers that if we could find a location that met our needs and the needs of the owner, we would be back so here we are! Here is where I can see everyone saying….Ooooooooo

Yes, we are in an odd place on the backroads, but with the plans intended for the building we are stationed, we know this area will bring more traffic, more people, and the owners have a great vision for it. Once things get rolling and the economy improves, we do intend to open up a coffee shop in that location and still operate the van for events as we do now.

Our promise to you is to keep our prices competitive and affordable. Most importantly, give you a great-tasting product with consistency and customize it to your taste without costing you and arm and leg!! We are committed to supporting our community and working with local businesses to help us serve our customers. We can have all the right things, but without you (our customers), we are nothing! We truly appreciate the love, support, and friendships we have developed with many of you over the last two years.

Sincerely,
Shot of Spro Mobile Espresso
