Subject: ban children in more places

I wish children were  banned in more places.  Children misbehave more than dogs, they are not leashed.. and they seem to be everywhere.  Try to go to a nice restaurant… deal with a screaming baby or toddler… go to the mall… kids running wild everywhere.. snot running down their noses… touching everything.. running up to me… if I am at a restaurant I hate when children run up to my table… or stand up in a booth and look over….

Dogs are not like that. Dogs have to stay leashed they have to stay in their owners control.  kids do not.most of the time the parents are focused on something else instead of their children anyways… and who was the crybaby that fussed because a dog on a leash growled at her?  Who cares?  As long as the dog was under the owners control you have no fear…. my dog runs to the edge of the yard barking and I have been told he should be put up.. as long as he is in my yard he can bark, growl, whatever he likes… my dog listen’s to me.

When I was growing up my parents taught me about RESPECT and listening.  I was not aloud the freedom children do now a days… which meant when I was out with my parents I had to stick by my parents.. no running around crazy… talking and touching strangers… my parents kept my face clean… it is do disgusting to see a snotty nosed kids… WIPE THEIR FACE parents!!!

Lowes is not a food store… lowes does not have carpeting… I hate that my dogs can not go there anymore. I would go with them just to walk my dogs around other people.. to socialize them… and would end up buying things.. so lowes will lose some money.

What is happening to America??  We are letting the sissys of the world are taking over… what has happened to Good ‘ol USA .. I miss the 80’s and 90’s… people were more live and let live… forgive your neighbor… now it is cry cry cry … call corporate… take a deep breath.. everything will be ok… no need to call corporate for every little things… LIFE is not a bunch of roses all the time.. sometimes a thorn will stick ya it’s ok.. go home.. wash it… and you won’t even remember you got stuck

  1. Let me begin by saying that I believe some places are not appropriate for children. Business meetings, construction sites, bars, fine dining establishments and several other places come to mind. These places have characteristics that make them either dangerous or they offer nothing that would be of interest to a child’s mind. Children in these places would behave in a manner that either endangers them or made it hard for the spaces to maintain their purpose. So these places are generally understood to be child free. I believe the exclusion of children in these areas is totally appropriate and necessary. I also believe that kids need to LEARN respect for others space (both physical and auditory) .
I capitalize the word learn because respect for others (sharing, consideration, politeness) is not something kids always practice though they may be constantly reminded , reprimanded, and rewarded for certain behaviors by their parents. Eventually they get it, but it takes time and patience. What I find interesting about your post is that while it calls for greater tolerance of dogs , which I would like to see, it does so by expressing disgust for children. You say that you used to take your dog to Lowes to socialize it. Isn’t that what people are doing with their children when they take them out, showing them the world and teaching how to act in it? If you want to do it with your dog why do you have such intolerance for people doing it with kids?
I would advise you to get over your issues with children in public places. They are here. They are people. You will never totally escape them. You should follow some of your own advice about not being so petty. There are plenty of places you can go where you won’t find children, but when you go to the pizza joint, the grocery store or the mall your going to have to deal.
