Unfortunately, it has been our experience that this area does not offer any REASONABLE veterinary care! It is all very expensive and the many that we have interviewed or visited will demand payment at the time of service, even if it is not routine.
You might check with Hope Crossing Animal Hospital off of 15/501, near Pittsboro. I think that they might try to work with you.
Given this, let me also add that every vet in the area, that I know of, refers to Triangle Emergency Veterinary Service, off of Maureen Road in Durham. I would not recommend this place to ANYONE!! They are the most unprofessional, cold hearted people I have ever witnessed in all my years of having pets!
They will literally watch an animal die without helping unless you are standing there with a bucket of money or a purse full of credit cards! Yes, I have witnessed this on more than one occasion. Their charges are beyond outrageous and yet there care is sub standard. But because they play on the emotions of often panicked, desperate, people that love their pets they rob you in a multitude of ways. Not only is it wrong, it should be criminal!
Anyone that has had the good fortune to never have to go to this place, count yourself lucky and avoid it at cost!
