Subject: Gasoline Supply During Sustained Power Outage
We noticed today that the new Cruizers/Exxon Gas Station complex, across from Lowes Hdw in Pittsboro, had brought in and wired up a large portable electrical generator.
Response to my inquiry is that they are capable of running the entire store, including Gas Pumps, with this power supply, should the electrical grid go down.
Good to know.
My guess is that this excellent foresight will be used for a predictable problem, like Angry Aunt Irene coming to visit. I don’t know if it will be a full time backup….covering the little blips & bumps.
It would be nice to have a list of businesses that are prepared to stay open in times of “emergency”………
