Chatham County Center – NC Cooperative Extension and Triangle J Area Agency on Aging will be presenting “Living Healthy with Diabetes” beginning Monday, September 12th from 6:00pm to 8:30pm.  This program will be held at Evergreen United Methodist Church, 11098 US 15-501 Highway North, Chapel Hill, NC.  The cost of the program is FREE but requesting a registration.  Instructors will be Jane Armstrong, MSW – Triangle J Area Agency on Aging, Phyllis Smith, RD, LDN, Extension Agent, Chatham County Center – NC Cooperative Extension and Serena Weisner, Division of Aging.

This six week series will provide participants techniques to deal with problems such as frustration, fatigue, pain and isolation.  Participants will learn how to achieve appropriate management of medications and healthy eating guidelines and exercise tips.  Additionally, they will learn skills for effectively communicating with friends, towards treatment decisions, family and health care providers and much more.

Whatever health issues you’re facing with diabetes, it’s time to take charge and enjoy a better quality of life!  Living Healthy with Diabetes is designed to help people learn the skills and tools to better manage chronic conditions.  Discover you can control your health & your life!
