Subject: Sacred Dance in Pittsboro
Hi folks,
There is a new dance event at the Joy of Movement (Chatham Mills) in Pittsboro – Sacred Dance. The next gathering is Friday August 26th from 6-8 pm. This is a beautiful space and a joyful way to express and share the beauty of movement and personal meditation through freeform dance.
In silence we will begin with a quiet meditative unspiraling of stress and
limitations followed by about 90 minutes of world beat music with gradually
increasing intensity and power. Here there are no rules and no judgments –
just the unfolding of the dance and the healing of the spirit in a
non-verbal environment.
We will begin with a circle and introductions, and then the dance begins.
Latecomers are welcome but please respect the silent space, and there is no
need to stay the entire time if you wish to leave earlier. A donation of
$5-10 is requested and any profit will be donated to a Chatham County
charitable organization. Last week’s donation will go to Family Violence and
Rape Crisis, the donation from the event on the 26th will go to support
Chatham Animal Rescue and Education (CARE).
