Are you a landowner that has erosion problems on your property?  Have you always wondered what your property would look like with a rain garden?

The Chatham County Soil & Water Conservation District (SWCD) is accepting applications for the North Carolina Community Conservation Assistance Program, which helps urban, suburban and rural land owners install water quality improvement practices on their non-agricultural land.  Eligible landowners include, but are not limited to: schools, churches, homeowners, parks, businesses, municipalities, and community groups.  Applications are ranked using approved criteria to determine eligibility.  At this time, funds are limited.  If you have a water quality concern on your property, please contact the SWCD office at 919-542-8240.  They are located in the Agriculture Building downstairs from the Farm Service Agency and Cooperative Extension.
