Chatham Animal Rescue and Education (CARE) invites everyone to the 10th annual Woof-a-Palooza dog walk benefitting the cats and dogs of Chatham County on Saturday September 17th from 10am to 2pm at Central Carolina Community College in Pittsboro.  Don’t miss out on the furry fun!  Join us for a one-mile dog walk, pet contests, food, demonstrations and vendor goodies.  There will also be adoptable dogs from CARE and other rescue groups on hand looking for their new forever home.

Register now and save.  Early-bird registration is $25 and ends August 26th.  After that the cost is $35.  Top walk fundraisers will receive fabulous prizes donated by local businesses and individuals including a one week stay at a mountain chalet in the Smokies with breathtaking views and a hot tub.  Registrants who turn in $150 or more in pledges by the early-bird date will receive an official, custom-designed 10th Annual Woof-a-Palooza sponsor tee-shirt.  All walkers get a “goodie-bag” including a snappy CARE ball-cap.

There are also sponsorship opportunities for those unable to walk.  Platinum ($1000), Gold ($500), Silver ($250), and Bronze ($150).  Sponsorships are a great way to reach the local community of animal lovers and show your support for CARE and all we do for Chatham dogs and cats.  Sponsors are printed on the back of the Woof-a-Palooza tee-shirt and are offered a vendor booth at the event.  Get your sponsorship application in before August 26th!.  Sponsors receive their tee-shirts the day of the event.

Everyone is invited to “Woof” whether you have a dog to walk or not.  Come walk one of ours!  The joy of seeing so many happy, goofy dogs all together in harmony makes it worth the time to attend.  So mark your calendars, pick up your registration form, and get it returned by August26th so you can be part of the biggest pet events in Chatham County in 2011.  It’s more that just fun and a good time, it’s the biggest fundraiser of the year for CARE and will allow us the opportunity to continue to provide vital rescue and education services to Chatham County residents and their pets.  As a non-profit organization CARE is dependent upon the generosity of the community to keep us working.  CARE is an ALL VOLUNTEER organization with all donated funds going directly to the animals.
