Subject: hummingbird feeders and yellow jackets
We have had a lot of yellow jackets in the feeders as well. When I clean them out, I have had up to 8 live ones fly out!
I am skeptical about attracting other things with Pam, so went to my favorite bird store (in Eastgate in CH) and purchased ones with protective “cages” or “filters” around the feeding sites. It seems to be working. They also have things that can be placed on your existing feeders if you have the right kind. So take your feeders with you!
