Subject: Community Cancer benefit!!
My name is Phillip with Evergreen Lawncare. I am also in a country/southern rock band that has played in town for Pittsboro 1st Sunday twice and at Virlie’s 1 time.
Okay now for the bad news. My bass guitarist has been diagnosed with stage 3 stomach cancer and is currently undergoing chemo and radiation. He was notified by his employer that he would not be allowed back to work until cleared by his doctor. He is 62 and has a wife and 18 year old daughter that still lives at home. The band has been trying to help out with the bills as much as we can.
I would like to know if there is someone that would be willing to assist me in setting up a cancer benefit for Gary and his wife Elaine. Of course, the band would play for free to help draw the crowd in. I just need help on finding a good location, maybe selling plates of food or somthing. If anyone has any ideas or would be willing to help me put this together, please give me a shout. Thanks
