Chatham County Utilities prints costly glossy report

Recently I received a Water Quality Report from Chatham County Utilities printed on 11×17, glossy paper, in full color.  I suspect this cost a minimum of $1.60 per copy to print plus postage. In my view, this is an unnecssary, very costly way to communicate water quality filled with a lot of technical information that has little meaning to me as a consumer.

Despite their stated commitment to deliver the best-quaity drining water possible, I only have to turn on the tap to smell and taste some of the worst water I’ve ever received as a consumer.  What is more disturbing is my water bill rate is higher than when I was in Texas. It makes me wonder what other wasteful spending is going on at the public consumer’s expense.
