Subject: Whose eggs are these? I dig the earth . .

Sat I tried to cultivate a garden area that had not been tilled in several years. Very hard and rocky. To my astonishment, I dug up a bunch of white eggs.  I didn’t count, but it appeared to be a bout 15 semi-soft white eggs, maybe and inch and half long.  I was horrifed that I had destroyed some, but with careful examination of all the soil, none

seem to have been cut or broken open.

I am guessing these are turtle/tarrpin eggs? Altho I seldom see one about my garden, I sometimes do catch them eathing from the cat bowl.

The photo shows some of the eggs. They are not speckeled- that is soil.  Anyone know for sure to whom the eggs belong-  any estimation as to when I will become a proud Gran .  .  .  . ?

“Do you mean to tell me, Katie Scarlett O’Hara, that Tara – that land doesn’t mean anything to you? Why, land’s the only thing in the world worth working for, worth fighting for, worth dying for, because it’s the only thing that lasts.”

Take good care of it folks- it could be gone with the wind.
