Subject: Cell Phone Coverage
I have a suggestion for those of you who had good coverage under Alltel, but now don’t under Verizon. It could be that however the Alltel towers were named changed with Verizon, and your phones don’t recognize them any more. Try calling *228, and selecting option #2 to “update roaming”. This will give your phone all the new towers available as well.
I do this periodically for maintenance and it really helps. Good luck!
