I have no desire to restrict voting, just illegal or unauthorized voting

In response to Wally,

I am sorry you misinterpret my post as a “restrictive agenda”. I have no desire to restrict voting, just illegal or unauthorized voting. We need to address those problems before providing additional opportunity to violate the process. I certainly sympathize with your absentee ballot predicament. However, the answer should be to address the

inefficiency of our existing system, not create an unnecessary new process to circumvent it.

Joe,
I can tell you that once I tried absentee ballot request when out of state. The ballot arrived 2 weeks after the voting was over.
So, based on my experience I do not desire to deprive anyone of exercising their legal right to vote by insisting on a narrow window of opportunity.
That it doesn’t cotton with you says a lot…and not about voting.

Sorry to rain on your restrictive agenda, but when I vote, I try to be one of the first to do so whether it occurs on a specific day or not, or whether is it raining or not.
