May 21 Training Summit Open to the Public

            The training summit “Chatham Faith Communities and Agencies Working Together to Strengthen Families” is next Saturday, May 21, 9 am-12:30 pm, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Lystra Road in North Chatham. The training is offered by local human services agencies. It is open to everyone, and it is free. Participants may choose two sessions. The schedule and workshop offerings are:

9:15-10:45   Workshop Options:
*         Adopt a DSS Social Worker (Chatham DSS)
*         Healthy Aging  (Triangle J Area Agency on Aging)
*         Starting a Day Care (Child Care Networks)
*         Raising Resilient Kids: What Families, Congregations, and Communities Can Do (OPC Area Program)
11:00-12:30   Workshop Options:
*         Adopt a DSS Social Worker (Chatham DSS)
*         Impact of Early Stress on the Very Young and How to Support their Parents (Chatham Partnership for Children)
*         Taking Care of the Caregiver  (Triangle J Area Agency on Aging)
*         The Adolescent Brain and Alcohol and Drugs (Chatham Drug Free)
