Fracking and water

Subject: fracking and water

One of the main issues with fracking is the chemical soup used to break apart the shale layer and release the gas. Dr Dykers is right to ask what they are using. The Bush administration waived the Clean Water Act rules to allow the natural gas companies to use whatever they wanted (according to them, they cannot tell us because it is proprietary). Last I heard Secretary of Interior was asking the companies for the list of chemicals used.
