Subject: Northwood Sports Update
Feb 8 the JV boys basketball won 60-50 against Cedar Ridge, the girls jv basketball team won 35-23, girls basketball, Varsity Girls won 41-36. Keri Snipes led the way with 11 and Shelby Wolfe had 8. Olivia Oakley also had 6 blocks.
The Boys varsity lost to Cedar Ridge 64-60.
The wrestling team lost to the defending State Champions (Croaten) 65-6 in the First Round Playoffs. Trent Harris and Peter Perry are the only two wrestlers to
On Friday, Feb 11 we had all basketball teams finish the regular season off against South Granville. The Varsity Girls and Boys Basketball teams had Senior night on Friday and both teams won at home. The Varsity Girls team defeated South Granville 43-29 and the Varsity Boys won 68-43. The JV Girls lost 31-34 in overtime and the JV Boys lost 42-45. Thank you Coach Thomas and Bean for two terrific JV Basketball Seasons!
The Varsity Basketball teams will be in action again on Monday 2-14-11. They are starting the Conference Championship Tournament here at Northwoodso please come out and support the teams! The Girls Varsity Basketball willtake on NCSSM at 6:00 and the Boys Varsity Basketball play Raleigh Charter at 7:30.
The wrestling team is traveling to Wheatmore for its Regionals on Friday.
