Pittsboro, February 4, 2011: Galloway Ridge at Fearrington recently hired Pat Richardson as Community and Public Relations Coordinator.
Pat, whose office is based at Galloway Ridge at Fearrington, is responsible for relationship building with corporate businesses, local nonprofit agencies, community groups, political entities, and governmental agencies. The Galloway Ridge Charitable Fund is responsible for “Social Accountability” in the local community and addresses issues and unmet needs which strengthen our county.
The expansion of Galloway Ridge at Fearrington via Phase II of the continuing care retirement community supports the addition of Pat’s position and becoming the community liaison and media contact. She will promote all aspects of Life Care at Galloway Ridge including the philanthropic commitment from the Charitable Fund mostly sponsored by the residences and local business partners.
Prior to joining Galloway Ridge at Fearrington’s team she specialized in Hospitality Sales for over twelve years prior to relocation here to North Carolina from Washington, DC. She began a life change from corporate America to the nonprofit industry in 2006 and finds gratifying experiences each day.
Pat’s passions are education and her two wonderful children, John who is twenty years old and a junior in college at North Carolina A& T University and Krissy who is12 and attends Phillips Middle School in Chapel Hill. Her hobbies consist of volunteering, traveling, family and reading. Pat also sits on the Human Services Advisory Board for the Town of Chapel Hill, Membership Committee for the Chapel Hill-Carrboro Chamber of Commerce as well as the Association of Fundraising Professionals Triangle Chapter. “We’re excited to have Pat on board,” said Jason Cronk, Executive Director.” Her presence at Galloway Ridge presents an important and unique opportunity to meet our community partners and increase our footprint in Chatham County.”
