Subject: Tell me about it
I did not expect the number of comments I received to my last post . The one common thread is the fact teachers cant point out certain things without fear of retribution within the system . Parents often hit a wall dealing with anyone in the central office as well . It was a beautiful day in Pittsboro to simply take a walk with a friend to discuss the content of some of these emails . We agreed that we needed to offer anonymity to those that respond to this post to encourage others who want to speak up to do so .. I will not re-post any email or its content on the chatlist I receive . I will respond directly to those that inform us of what they have witnessed and what we plan to do with this information .
For those of you with Facebook please look up , Chatham County Schools – Redistricting Plan . It has rapidly grown to over 500 not so happy parents .. There has been some disturbing things surface about our school system and those that operate it . If you are a teacher , parent or other who has witnessed things within Chatham County Schools that cause you great concern please feel free to contact me . Now is the time to compare notes and gather more information so we as a collective group can make a positive difference . The toxic environment some of our teachers are forced to work in isn’t fair to them or the children they are entrusted to teach for us .. I feel the time is here to address these issues and move forward for the benefit of our children and generations to come .
