Subject: I am going to throw this out there
I am going to throw this out there for some consideration reg/the ghost bus..
For those of us that don’t drive, it would be marvelous, except for one fact: we
have to get there initially. In my area, we are NOT serviced by Chatham
Transit, so we can’t get there to begin with to take advantage of the transit to
CH..I was initially thrilled and so looked forward to riding it..but I have yet
to do so. I am not sure how much interaction is involved with Chatham Transit
and the ghost bus, but speaking for one person, this is the ONLY reason I have
not rode it..I am originally from Chapel Hill and have ample friends more than
willing to pick me up on the other side, but…
On the south side of Pittsboro, Chatham Transit only goes as far as Old Sanford
Highway. Out this way, we have neither the bookmobile or the Transit service,
and I for one cannot afford taxi service, even if there was one available. We
did have both at one point, but both were cut, why I do not know..When the
bookmobile was re-instated, Asbury and other southern areas were still not
included.
