Good morning:

I am very distressed. Someone we like and respect, has had his livelihood threatened. We are very sad to see that happen. Not sad. Angry.. I do not say that lightly.

Before we go farther, let me explain how we here at Hope Crossing were first aquainted with Tony Wilson. He took down our sign. A few times (we are a little slow, and push the envelope slightly). While we have railed against the law (held in moretoreum for a year, while it was re-written, in part, by George Lucier TO HIS SPECIFICATIONS), never once have we felt that this was a personal affront. Tony is a good guy, polite (his mother should be proud), has a sense of humor, and DOING HIS JOB. Personally, I like him. I hate the law he must uphold, but I don’t blame him for that, or his execution of it, any more than I blame the sherriffs for arresting the people on their way home from Shakori that were breaking laws. Or, for that matter, do I blame a Highway Patrol for giving me a speeding ticket (I wish they would not, as it is expensive, but….). Just like I chose to speed (or have a brake light out, or whatever it is that day), Mr. Lucier and company have chosen to go outside the law (that they made) and post signs where they do NOT belong.

Fair is fair. This has us seeing RED… Not sure about you all.
