Subject: Siler City Farmer’s Market and Octoberfest meal
The Siler City Farmer’s Market will open at the usual hour (9:30) Sataurday, Oc. 30th. Get your produce and other goodies before the crowds come for Halloween Hoopla. Then be sure to come back for lunch after 11:00. We’ll be doing an “Octoberfest” type meal with grilled bratwurst under the big tent on the market lot from 11:00 til 4:00, or
the food runs out, whichever comes first. There will be a choice of a sandwich with saurkraut (Or slaw or grilled onions if you prefer) for $3.00 or a plate with brats, german potato salad and baked beans for $6;00. Drinks will also be available.
For those who would like to do some early Christmas shopping, some of the vendors will have hand crafted items such as pottery, knit items, birdhouse gourds, etc. along with the usual assortment of soaps and jams that always make great gifts. There will also be “treats” for the kids.
Market is located at 118 West Second Street, just down the hill from the Rotary stage.
