hi all, in reading this most recent chatlist I see even gene and the chatham coalition are going at it somewhat. I have no dog in this hunt, I’ll vote democratic, just like always. I like what will rogers said: I belong to no organized political party, I’m a democrat. good enough for me. right after the great studs terkel passed on about a year ago there was an homile on npr concerning him. he’d been raised in the great depression in his mother’s rooming house in chicago. he related the saddest thing about that time was when the roomers turned on each other, the bickering and squabbling were worse than the poverty. he said and I paraphrase it poorly, stick together, the bright boys aren’t that bright and we’re all we got.
