Subject: Be aware of this alarm company!

I had the alarm company Safe Home Security for just over three years. I called about a year ago to cancel my service due to being laid off. They informed me that I was under a three year contract and had a year left on it. They failed to mention if I wanted to cancel my contract at that point that I would need to write a letter stating such and have them receive it within three months of my contracts ending date or it would automatically renew for another three year period. So a couple weeks ago when I called to cancel the service they explained to me that I had three more years before I could cancel my service.
I went back to the original contract that I signed and sure enough in real small writing it stated the exact words they told me. I sure wish I would have used a magnifying glass to read the small print. I still can’t believe it but after speaking with some other people I know they have had the same problem with this company. I just don’t want others to have to deal with the same issue I am dealing with. So please be sure to read your contract to the fullest extent and avoid this company if
at all possible.
