Cell phone network extenders don’t always work

I saw a post about boosting your cell phone signal using network extenders.  These are for use inside your house and they don’t always work.  I am with Verizon after Alltell got bought and my husband found this great cell phone booster.  The only problem is that although we are in the green area on their map (meaning we could use it), after many phone calls and hours talking with Verizon, they finally admit that this Verizon equipment/software is unusable with Alltell technology.  So please be aware that after buying one of these, it may not work.  I got a letter from them saying that they would look into it more and try to adapt if I was willing to pay for it.  There is nothing about how much that will cost.  So I am sticking with the landline for home.
Yes, my signal has gotten worse over the last few months – even in CH.  Calls are dropping where they never did before.  But unlike Alltell, I don’t get credit for those.
